No one wants to be associated with the word “Lazy.”
Maybe “Lazy” is OK on a sunny Sunday afternoon, when all the work is done.
But most of us have probably discovered that lots of hard work (and getting along with people), is what it takes to get ahead in life.
When it comes to investing, Wall Street highlights the same notion; that through lots of hard work, lots of research, and lots of attention to your portfolio you “can” become a successful investor.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
That’s where the word “Lazy” fits into the picture.
Nationally syndicated columnist Scott Burns wrote a nice piece about the many benefits of not tinkering with your portfolio, a tribute to “Lazy” investing first popularized by author and columnist Paul Farrell.
Hope you enjoy, and here’s to a lazy summer afternoon!
