I came across a great website from the Presidential Advisory Council on Financial Capability that I wanted to share with you all about money lessons we can teach our children. I have found that many of our opinions and relationships surrounding money often come from the environments we were raised in and our parent’s views on money. Unfortunately, these opinions, relationships, and views often miss valuable information along the way.
Money As You Grow provides great lessons categorized by age groups so the principles are easy to understand, even for the little ones. They also offer practical activities to help apply the teaching lessons.
As our country’s debt continues to grow, families are financially leveraged to the hilt, and college students are taking on more debt than ever to pay for educations, it’s important to start early and educate the younger generation about responsibly managing the all mighty dollar.
